Hanami is an immersive interactive installation that offers each
visitor to embark on an immersive universe, that of digital plants.
The user is invited to create their digital flower through an
interactive experience exploring generative art,
a form of digital art that uses algorithms to create scalable and unique artworks. The personalization of its flower is inscribed in a poetic narrative framework told through sounds, light effects, projections and interactions.
Hanami (花見; "flower viewing") is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers. The flower is a universally appreciated symbol and charged with deep meanings. It represents beauty, delicacy, growth and transformation. Moreover, flowers are often associated with emotions and feelings. By choosing the flower as a central element of the Hanami experience, we seek to establish an emotional and aesthetic connection with the participants. Each flower created thus becomes a tangible manifestation of the emotion, sensitivity and artistic expression specific to each individual. It is this fusion between the creator’s soul and generative art that makes each experience unique and precious.
In this encounter between the individual and digital creation, fundamental artistic values are highlighted: self-expression, creative freedom, and exploration of new aesthetic forms. The installation is a space where visitors can immerse themselves in an interactive artistic process, experiment with the infinite possibilities of generative art and let their imagination take flight.
